Sword of Atlas: Sprite Work

Pixel sprite work I did for the game Sword of Atlas. Super fun to make all of these pixel sprites! It was an exciting challenge turning the great character concepts and profile art in the (generally) 32x32 sprites, figuring out which parts of them were the most important and what details to drop.

Player Character Sprites. All were 8 frames, done in 4's with just an 'up' and a 'down' frame.

I would take the Character concept and portrait art (done by Anne Goodman, link in description) and use that as my base for the colour and design.

Eyestalk enemy. It was 14 frames instead of 8 frames like characters so the animation would flow better with an in-between frame.

Tentacle sprite was also 14 frames with a in-between frame.
